Big Sky Kids
Big Sky Adventure Camp is designed for youth ages 11-18 who are still in treatment for their cancer or who have recently completed their treatment, plus one parent or guardian each. Eighteen campers and eighteen parents are accepted each year, and are recruited from major oncology centers all across the country. This unique and unforgettable 10-day experience includes a float on the Yellowstone river, horseback riding, white-water rafting, a day trip to Yellowstone National Park, an overnight camp-out, and many more exciting excursions. Accommodation during camp is provided by beautiful Buck’s T-4 Lodge in Big Sky. Big Sky Adventure Camp is medically supervised by both a pediatric oncologist and a registered nurse, and is an all-expense paid vacation, including travel.
Our Big Sky Kids program is designed for children and young adults with cancer. Begun in 1985, Big Sky Kids provides four different summer camps for children with cancer ages 5-23 each year, as well as a family ski weekend every spring. Our oncology camps are centered around exciting Montana adventures such as white-water rafting, horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, zip-lining, and touring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park. Each Big Sky Kids camp is medically supervised, allowing both children and young adults the opportunity to escape the confines of treatment schedules and hospital walls and experience all the thrills that our state has to offer!
