Big Sky Kids
Camp Braveheart is designed for our youngest campers ages 5-10 and their immediate families. Children in this age bracket at any stange in their treatment (currently in treatment, recently completed treatment, or in remission) are welcome to apply! Camp Braveheart takes place at Hyalite Youth Camp, a rustic facility located on the beautiful shores of Hyalite Reservoir just outside of Bozeman. We fill the week with activities such as kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, swimming, arts & crafts, s’more making & group games. Camp Braveheart is medically supervised by a volunteer pediatrician and a registered nurse, and the only cost to families is transportation to and from Bozeman.
If you would like to be a camper, counselor, or volunteer at camp Braveheart this summer, please email our BSK Director, Kara Erickson, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call our Eagle Mount office!
Our Big Sky Kids program is designed for children and young adults with cancer. Begun in 1985, Big Sky Kids provides four different summer camps for children with cancer ages 5-23 each year, as well as a family ski weekend every spring. Our oncology camps are centered around exciting Montana adventures such as white-water rafting, horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, zip-lining, and touring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park. Each Big Sky Kids camp is medically supervised, allowing both children and young adults the opportunity to escape the confines of treatment schedules and hospital walls and experience all the thrills that our state has to offer!
If you would like to be a camper, counselor, or volunteer for any of the Big Sky Kids camps, please email our BSK Director, Kara Erickson, at email@example.com, or call our Eagle Mount office!
