Adaptive Horsemanship Program Assistant

Eagle Mount Bozeman is a non-profit that provides adaptive recreation for people with disabilities and camps for children with cancer. Eagle Mount is now hiring an Adaptive Horsemanship Program Assistant. The Adaptive Horsemanship Program Assistant supports the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of adaptive horsemanship programs for Eagle Mount participants and families. Programs include group lessons, private lessons, and day camps.

Primary Duties:
Teaches mounted and unmounted lessons.
Maintains participant progress notes.
Schedules and oversees Community Outreach program (ex. Miniature Horses visits to nursing homes)
Schedules and oversees Volunteer Program Support Groups (ex. Junior Volunteer Program, Tack Cleaning Crew et al)
Participates in coordination of program delivery/participant instruction, ensures participants are safe and engaged.
Supports the coordination of daily classes and AH activities.
Helps maintain program facilities, equipment and supplies.
Actively and thoroughly communicates program conditions to direct supervisor.
Assist with recruitment, training, motivation, and recognition of volunteers.
Responds to organizational requests and electronic communication in a timely and professional manner.
Maintains professional knowledge; completes appropriate professional development activities.

Qualifications
Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor & PATH International Member in good standing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to work outdoors, for a prolonged period of time, in a variety of conditions.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be insurable per Eagle Mount’s parameters.
Reliable personal transportation.
Basic CPR/first-aid certification (can be provided upon hire if necessary).
Strong interpersonal, management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, $15.00-$17.00 per hour DOE. Excellent benefits package includes: employer sponsored health and welfare benefits, 4% 403(b) retirement match, generous PTO and the opportunity to work in a mission-driven culture.
