Adaptive Aquatics Associate Director

Eagle Mount Bozeman is a non-profit organization that provides adaptive recreation for people with disabilities and camps for children with cancer. Eagle Mount is now hiring an Adaptive Aquatics Associate Director to assist in planning, directing, coordinating, and promoting aquatics programming for the organization. This is a full-time, year-round position that may require evenings, weekends, and split shifts as needed. The Associate Director is responsible for assisting and teaching adaptive aquatics classes, assisting in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers, and supporting the management and general oversight of the Aquatic Therapy Center. The Associate Director is supervised by the Aquatics Program Director and will act on their behalf when called upon. The successful applicant has experience working with people with disabilities and volunteers, knowledge of current standards, techniques and best practices in aquatic therapy, and an understanding of pool operations and maintenance.

Primary Duties

  • Ensure aquatic activities are appropriate, beneficial, and safe for participants, volunteers, and staff.
  • Coordinate day to day aquatics schedule, supervise volunteers, oversee participants, communicate with visitors.
  • Serve as an aquatic instructor and lifeguard for both individual and class activities.
  • Conduct pool maintenance and cleaning activities both regularly and as needed.
  • Monitor participant progress and maintain appropriate records for participants, volunteers, and billing.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination as well as program outreach and communication.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, $19-$22/hour DOE. Benefits package includes: agency sponsored health/dental/vision, 4% 403(b) retirement match, generous PTO and the opportunity to work in a mission-driven culture.
