Program Information

Working in the garden gets participants outdoors as they work the soil and care for the plants. During the summer, participants and volunteers tend the garden and greenhouse, enjoy field trips, speakers and other activities. As the harvest season comes, participants and volunteers enjoy cooking and eating the produce they have grown.

Program Information

The horticulture program brings participants from the community to garden at Eagle Mount. A large greenhouse allows participants to seed and plant in early spring. Late spring is always a time of excitement as vegetables and flowers are transplanted in the garden and greenhouse. Raised beds allow participants to garden at comfortable heights.  Eating and cooking your own produce is the best part of the program!
