Participating in the Arts encourages creativity, nurtures independence, develops social skills, boosts confidence, and gives folks an outlet for communicating thoughts and emotions in a supportive setting. At Eagle Mount, participants explore a variety of artistic mediums, from theater and dance to drawing, painting, printmaking, and more.
Different activities are offered during each multi-week session throughout the year. Check the calendar to see what activities we’re offering now!

In the Arts Program, participants and their families explore a variety of performing and visual arts disciplines, via multi-week sessions and one-time workshops. Key activities include:
Work together to put on an original production, whether you’re acting in the show, designing costumes, building the set, or running the stage tech. Theater sessions typically occur in the winter and summer.
Move to the music in our fun-filled interdisciplinary dance sessions. Sometimes we try hip hop, other times country line dancing, and sometimes we just have a big dance party! Dance sessions typically occur in the spring and fall.
Rotating visual art sessions provide opportunities to explore printmaking, painting, drawing, clay sculpture, and more. With adaptive tools, anyone can create! 2D and 3D Art sessions typically occur in the winter, spring, and fall.
Participants and their families are invited to learn a new craft together through workshops led by artists from our community. Past workshops include watercolor, needle-felting, nature drawing, polymer clay, sun-printing, collage, fairy houses, chalk pastels, and more. Art workshops typically occur once or twice per month.
Participants and their siblings are invited to explore a variety of arts and crafts activities during select PIR days and spring break camps.
