Each donation to Eagle Mount becomes freedom, joy, strength, confidence, and friendship in the lives of people with disabilities and children with cancer. Your tax-deductible gift helps keep program fees low, and ensures no one is ever turned away if they cannot pay. Whether you send money, give us your old gear, sponsor a horse or an event, include us in your will, attend a fundraiser, or donate while you shop, there are many ways to empower Eagle Mount participants to discover their abilities and soar.
Eagle Mount camps immerse participants in fun, healing, inspiring activities for several consecutive days. Bring the transformative power of recreation into the lives of many by underwriting the cost to run one of our camps.
Fun and funds overlap during our Summer Concert Series, Western Rendezvous, Digger Days, and Crystal Ball. You can sponsor one of these lively fundraising events and promote your business while helping Eagle Mount.
From swimming, climbing, and cycling to horseback riding, horticulture, skiing, and more, our programs empower participants to discover their abilities. Keep these opportunities available by helping with their operational costs.
Eagle Mount horses are wonderful healers, teachers, and friends to our participants. You can sponsor a horse for $225 a month or in increments totaling $2,500 per year. These funds help cover feed, shoes, supplements, and more.
When making a contribution through your Donor Advised Fund, please request that your name and address be included in the correspondence.

If you are at least 70 ½ or older and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you can donate as much as $100,000 each year as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to charity. A QCD may satisfy all or part of a Required Minimum Distribution (RMDs), which are not required until age 72, effectively lowering your Adjusted Gross Income for that year. Giving early distributions before you are 72 may save taxes when you must start taking distributions. The CARES act temporarily waives RMDs for all types of retirement plans (including IRAs, 401(k)s, 403(b)s, 457(b)s, and inherited IRA plans) for calendar year 2020.
Enrich the lives of people with disabilities or cancer — even after you’re gone. Including Eagle Mount in your will or estate plan can help you to achieve your financial goals in the present while ensuring you’ll make a meaningful difference in the future. Talk with your financial advisor to find out how making a qualified endowment gift could save on your Montana taxes, or how you can derive the tax advantages of planned giving while supporting a cause you truly care about.
Beneficiary designations:
Consider naming Eagle Mount as the beneficiary of a checking or savings account, a life insurance policy, or retirement plan account. These vehicles typically allow you to pick multiple beneficiaries and you can often specify what percentage of the death benefit should go to each beneficiary. Will you consider naming Eagle Mount a beneficiary at 5%?
A gift in your will:
As you plan for loved ones, you may want to include a gift to Eagle Mount in your will. You can leave:
• A specific dollar amount or specific property
• A percentage of your estate
• What’s left of your estate after other bequests, taxes and settlement costs are satisfied
Remember us when you renew your Montana vehicle registration, and sport an Eagle Mount license plate for $20 per year.
Many companies offer a matching gift program to encourage philanthropy among their employees. You may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift! Check with your Human Resources department to see if your employer has a matching gift program.
If you have stock, bonds, or mutual funds that you have owned for at least a year and they have appreciated in value, these might be better assets to donate than cash. If you donate the appreciated asset as a gift to Eagle Mount, you will avoid paying capital gains tax while getting a tax deduction of the full market value.
