Pictures of Syvel

Dear Supporter,

What is home?

Home is a place where you can walk in and immediately feel welcome. Home is a comforting embrace. Home is a meal eaten with friends and family. Home is laughter. Home is where you grow up.

For so many people, Eagle Mount feels like home.

One of those people is Syvel. I wish you could meet him.

Because of donors like you, Syvel has made Eagle Mount a part of his home.

Syvel and his mom moved to Bozeman to be closer to their family. When he was just 10 years old, he signed up to swim.

The first time he was dropped off at Eagle Mount, Syvel’s mom cried. She cried because Syvel was in a place that welcomed him with open arms and lots of love. He was in a place that felt like home.

You could say that over the past 10 years, Syvel grew up at Eagle Mount. Home, after all, is where you grow up. Now as a 20-year-old, his grandparents said, “Eagle Mount has helped him get to where he is, as a person and as a young man trying to be independent and being proud of that!”

We hope you are proud too. You have helped make all of this possible.

In a world that often treats people with disabilities differently, a home like Eagle Mount is hard to find. That’s why we are asking you to make a gift before December 31. Your support ensures Eagle Mount continues to be a home in so many people’s lives.
