Dear Friends of Eagle Mount,
There’s a spirit behind Eagle Mount that’s hard to describe. It’s neighbors showing up for one another. It’s smiles and laughs. It’s celebrating the can of disability, not the can’t. Silas’ mom said it best: “I think Eagle Mount is for everyone; I’ve never met a more welcoming group of people.”
Silas joined Eagle Mount as a skier when he was seven. Now a teenager in high school, Silas skies and mountain bikes with us, but more importantly, has built a community with other adventure seekers. “Eagle Mount, to me, is sort of like a giant family of people that are willing to help you learn the sports that you love and to be out in the world.”
One of Silas’ mentors is Drew. Please check out the video below to learn more about Silas and Drew. Silas beautifully captured Drew’s impact on him, saying, “Drew is like an older brother who will probably be my mentor for the rest of my life.”After all, that is why we are here: to ski, bike, horseback ride, garden, camp, swim and more. And more importantly, to gain mentors, build friendships, and learn how to be out in the world.
Will you make a gift today to support this work?
Last year it cost $3,200 to support one participant throughout the year. That’s for all the activities, all the campouts, all the swim time and riding lessons, all the smiles and friendships. We hope you consider a gift today to support a participant in the activity they love most. A gift that is meaningful to you is all we ask to help us continue to live out our mission every day.
Thank you for being a part of Eagle Mount! Your gift makes a world of difference.
We need your help! Our friends at the Otto Bremer Trust are contributing $150 (up to $15k) for every first-time donor who donates to Eagle Mount in December 2024. Please encourage those you know to be a part of our work!
THANK YOU!
