The Horsemanship Education Center

Expansion Project

As an Eagle Mount horsemanship program supporter, you know how special the human-horse connection is. Horses help our participants learn and grow in ways that strengthens their body and mind, builds confidence and abilities, and encourages resilience. For riders with cognitive disabilities, the body’s natural reflex to remain balanced improves muscle development, and increases brain activity. For riders with physical disabilities, horseback riding rhythmically moves the rider’s body in a manner similar to a human gait, improving flexibility, balance and muscle strength.

Now more than ever Eagle Mount needs your help to serve participants and their families by donating to the Horsemanship Education Center Expansion Project. This project will not only grow our facility from a one room operation into a 2,650 sq. ft. nationally accredited horsemanship center. It will also boost our ability to effectively host our participants who need it the most. It’s the dedication to serve our community that puts this project on our list of goals for 2023, and we need your help to make this vision into reality.

A few improvements worthy of mention for programs and activities are, a new sensory room, a physical movement room, and dedicated education space that will provide high-quality experiences for riders while enabeling Eagle Mount to expand programming by allowing multiple activities to operate simultaneously.

Additional improvements include, a wheelchair accessible entry, and dedicated arena viewing space for families and guests. New offices offer meaningful coaching and private conversation spaces that will create an environment for our participants individual needs.

Please take the time to review the interactive diagram below to see all the new additions to the Horsemanship Education Center and program offerings for participants! Your gift matters and every dollar will count towards the $1 million dollar goal!
