Big Sky Kids Program Director

Eagle Mount Bozeman is a non-profit that provides adaptive recreation for people with disabilities and young people with cancer. The Big Sky Kids Director designs, develops, and oversees recreation-oriented programs for youth with cancer and their families. Programs include oncology camps, reunion events, and memorial activities. The Big Sky Kids Director is a year-round position with seasonal staff and volunteer supervision responsibilities. Travel and evening and weekend work are required. The position is supervised by the Director of Programs and serves as a member of the Program Director team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in related field or four-years of equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working with children with chronic or life-threatening illness.
  • Previous experience in a camp setting.
  • Personal and/or institutional experience with a variety of outdoor recreational activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Advanced first aid, including wilderness first aid (can be obtained upon hire)
  • Ability to work outdoors, in a variety of conditions, for an extended period.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in related field.
  • Knowledge of current standards, techniques, and best practices in oncology programming.
  • Clinical practice/direct service experience with individuals and families.
  • Advanced first aid, including wilderness first aid (can be obtained upon hire)

Compensation & Benefits

The Big Sky Kids Director is a full-time, exempt position, $52,000 - $56,000 DOE. Benefits package includes: agency sponsored health/dental/vision, 4% 403(b) retirement match, generous PTO and the opportunity to work in a mission-driven culture.
