Adaptive Snow Sports Assistant
The Adaptive Snow Sports Assistant positions support the preparation and delivery of winter recreation activities including skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing at Big Sky Resort, Bridger Bowl and Crosscut Mountain Sports Center. These are seasonal positions (October - March) that are part time and will have a primary assignment at either Big Sky Resort or Bridger Bowl, with potential for crossover. Some evening and weekend work is required. The positions are supervised by the Associate Directors for Snow Sports (Big Sky and Bridger Bowl leads).
Minimum Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for Eagle Mount’s mission.
- Proficient Ski Skills – Must be able to confidently ski/ride blue square alpine terrain.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable personal transportation/ability to arrive at assigned duty location at required times.
- Mobility to ensure safety of participants in varied terrain andconditions; ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently (self-starter) and as a member of a team (take direction).
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals of all ages, with a variety of disabilities.
- Knowledge of currents standards, techniques, and best practices in adaptive recreation.
- PSIA/AASI certification preferred, but not necessary.
- Basic CPR/first-aid certification (can be provided upon hire if necessary).
Compensation and Benefits
This is a seasonal, part-time, non-exempt position, $19/hr DOE.
