Adaptive Horsemanship

COVID-19 Update:

For the time being, the Adaptive Horsemanship Program is inviting participants to the barn on a very limited basis. This is to ensure the health of participants, volunteers and staff to the best of our ability.

Regular Programming:

Develop confidence, coordination, patience, self-esteem, and practical life skills in our adaptive horsemanship program. You’ll experience the emotional, intellectual, and physical benefits that come from purposeful interaction with our full-sized and miniature horses. Our supervised mounted and unmounted lessons take place year round. We encourage you to enroll in all of our class offerings to become a well-rounded horseman or woman!

Mounted Lessons

Improve your flexibility, balance, and muscle tone through our adaptive riding lessons.

Unmounted Lessons

Unmounted lessons emphasize equine-assisted learning. You’ll hone life skills that include grooming, feeding, handling, and general horse care.

Additional Info

Space is limited and classes are filled on a rotating basis to ensure that as many individuals can join us as possible. We ask that all participants wear long pants and boots or heavy shoes year round.

Ways to get involved: Volunteer

As an Eagle Mount volunteer, you’ll receive training designed to help you improve your own skills and your teaching skills, as well as to help you understand more about disabilities in general, and if applicable, the specific challenges faced by an individual you’ll be working with.

Ways to get involved: Sponsor

Eagle Mount Bozeman invites annual partnerships and sponsorships from businesses and individuals deeply invested in community, who believe that people with disabilities or cancer deserve to experience all that Montana has to offer, and who want to help them “mount up with wings as eagles.“
